I want to thank everyone who has responded to the request for membership pledges. We currently are at 15% of the number of Household Associate Membership and 14% of Golf Membership pledges. Please ask your neighbor if they have responded and if they wish to see the club open again to please do so. If you know anyone without internet access please let me know who they are and I will personally deliver the information to them. Also there are some printed copies of the documents in the lobby of the clubhouse. The clubhouse is usually open all day as Peter White is still operating Chef’s Brothers Catering.
Dan is currently talking to an event coordinator to start right away planning activities such as kids programs, card parties, zumba lessons, and other things that may spark interest from the community. One thing that definitely has been learned is that although golf is our biggest expense, it may not end up being the biggest resource of revenue.
Several people have offered to help and honestly right now I don’t know what help to ask for except help us beat the bushes. The first step in this process has to be finding out if it’s possible to get the support the club needs to have in order for it to reopen and remain open. I know that support is going to come with conditions and we are going to have member input meetings in the near future provided we get close to our goal of pledges.
